Rocket RocksTable guitar shaped Coffee table
Posted by Jon in • Guitar Furniture,

Finally another product to add to my much neglected Guitar Furniture category! The RocksTable is a Coffee table shaped a bit like a Strat combining Plexiglas® and aluminium for “an elegant finish that delicately balances its daring silhouette”. You can order one of these Plexi Guitar tables online here and while you are at it there is also a guitar shaped shot glass tray, perfect for serving up on your RocksTable.

Guitar Toilet Seats
Posted by Jon in • Guitar Furniture,

Guitar Noize is no stranger to the odd toilet seat guitar, in fact check out this one I featured back in September 2007 however these products I found in Jammin’ Johns Shop are not actually toilet seat guitars but guitar toilet seats. The Strat shaped sunburst seat is called the “Screamer” and costs $169, yes you heard me right $169… for a toilet seat. But that is not all, the acoustic guitar shaped toilet seat costs $179! The thing I don’t understand is that it says you can choose between Round or Elongated shape? Surely they mean Jumbo or Dreadnought? I did laugh at Jammin’ Johns tagline though, “Music to your rear!”.

Fender Custom Furniture - Tweed HotSeat
Posted by Jon in • Guitar Furniture,

I have no idea how long Fender has had a separate website for Fender Custom Furniture, no wait forget the website for a second I had no idea Fender made Custom Guitar Furniture at all! In fact I’m glad they do because my guitar furniture category was looking a little sparse, I haven’t posted anything in there since November 2007!
So what exactly IS Fender Custom Guitar Furniture? Well as it turns out they make 2 products with variations. First as pictured left is the Fender HotSeat individually hand built the same way Fender Amps are and the top pops up to put all your cables, strings, guitar leads etc. inside, the button to pop the lid is actually a Fender volume knob! This is available as a Blackface or as pictured left a Tweed version and cost US$180 each. Fender are offering a very limited run though so get in quick. I think they are a great idea!
The other product available are the tables which come in 3 different flavours, Deluxe Stratocaster Table, Deluxe Telecaster Table and the Standard Stratocaster Table. They’re not cheap but then what furniture is, but I wouldn’t want the Standard which is made of wood composite, isn’t that MDF? Anyway it looks plain compared to the solid Maple Deluxe version which is $750. These tables certainly wouldn’t look right in my house but I’m sure someone will put them to good use!

Mechanical Moose head guitar
Posted by Jon in • Guitar Furniture,

Bored of hanging Moose heads on your wall? Well why not invest in a mechanical one that has a guitar body as a plaque…
“I’m afraid I don’t have video for this one so you will have to imagine the jaw moving up and down when the button on the the right is pressed.
Materials: Electric guitar, electric jackhammer, vacuum cleaner parts, engine parts, antlers, toy motor, LED lights, antlers.”
So it’s like one of those annoying Big Mouth Billy Bass with a tenuous link to guitars…

Guitar shaped stool
Posted by Jon in • Guitar Furniture,

It’s been a while since I posted anything furniture related so now is a good time to resurrect the guitar related furniture category!
This guitar bar stool is made by Fire Seating and is a strat shape available in a variety of powdercoat finishes but surely you all want the root beer finish? There are also plenty of upholstery options all of which are guaranteed not to enhance your playing so stop blaming the stool and get back to practicing your phrygian dominant 3 octave arpeggio sweep!

Guitar furniture
Posted by Jon in • Guitar Furniture,

Designer Rick Metz has created a series of guitar influenced furniture pieces. You can get a sunburst Gibson Les Paul chair or maybe you would prefer a black Strat chair? If you don’t want a guitar chair maybe you would prefer a guitar coffee table although the dimensions and shape look a bit odd?! In which case you may prefer the simplicity of a pick coffee table or pick clock. I wonder if you could get the pick table painted like the Joe Satriani signature picks?
