Guitar Noize - guitar news, crazy guitar designs and cool guitar videos

I recently reviewed Rick Graham’s solo album Insideout here on Guitar Noize which is a great album with incredible virtuosic guitar playing and drawing from many different styles and genres. Rick has just announced that he is now selling backing tracks for the entire album through his site www.rick-graham.co.uk/ so that you can play along to your favourite tracks or just use them to jam over. Above I have illustrated this by firstly trying to play the main theme and solo by Rick on “Edge Of The Earth” but I couldn’t quite get it right so there is also some improvisation in there to fill in the blanks and I thought that also helped illustrate using these tracks to jam your own ideas over.

The cynic in me always thinks the worst when I see anything branded with Randy Rhoads but this image is probably the best ad for a Gibson Les Paul ever. The image of Randy and his 1974 Les Paul Custom what springs to mind when I hear his name rather than the Polka dot Flying V it just suited him so perfecly, just check out the video below to see what I mean!

Exciting news everybody Joe Satriani’s latest solo album release date has been announced, the album is called “Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards” and will be released in the UK on October 4 and the US on October 5, hopefully the Aussie release date will also be one of these!
