Well the competition has finally screeched to a halt after 8 weeks of apparently tricky riffage. I can finally put you out of your misery, here is the list of riffs:

This is it! The final riff of Round 1 of Name That Riff, I’ve managed to put the pressure on enough over the past few weeks to narrow down the competition to a few front runners, it all comes down to this riff. To me this is easier than previous weeks but then I suppose that it depends on your age, was that a clue?

This is the penultimate riff of Round 1 (Round 2 will happen later in the year in case you are wondering) and things are really heating up, last week seems to have been a major stumbling block which surprised me and I thought this week was really easy… not so sure anymore only time will tell!  Good luck and here is a quick reminder of the prize pack:

We are now only 3 riffs from the end of this competition including this one so I have been gradually turning up the heat with the difficulty, but it seems I may have turned it up a little too high a little too quickly! I’ve surprised just how little correct answers I’ve had over the last 2 weeks. This week is easier if you are not a shred-geek so I will have to see if I will be monitoring the answers with interest. Well it seems I had a lot of people stumped with Riff 4 with only 3 correct answers so far, maybe I should have saved that one for later! Ah well, moving on to this weeks Name That Riff and I think this may be a little easier, but then again it really depends, for instance I know my brother won’t know it, but Peter from I Heart Guitar definitely will. Fingers crossed I haven’t made it too difficult but if I have well there is always next weeks riff. Oh and just in case you are all wondering what exactly you are going to win if you have the most correct answers, here is the prize pack:
