10 xmas gift ideas for the guitarists
Posted by Jon in •

Mr Axe from AxeVictim.com commented on a post the other day saying how he needed a few ideas for Christmas gifts for his kids and I thought that its not just kids that need some gift ideas, maybe you need to slip a list of ideas to your family for yourselves? Well seeing as it is the 1st of December what better time to present, in no particular order, the Top Ten Guitar Noize Xmas 2008 stocking fillers. Any prices below are in US dollars.
Miniature guitars
Why not get a miniature replica of your favourite guitar or guitars to put on your desk? These miniatures are highly detailed and only $15 each.

Planet Waves Straps
Planet Waves make some very cool guitar straps, I have one of the Joe Satriani series on my Ibanez JS1000 and it is great quality and looks the business. Prices vary but are around the $15 - $20 mark for Nylon straps.

Korg PitchJack
This is a great design, the PitchJack plugs directly into your guitar and its ergonomic design allows you to easily see the LEDs while tuning. This weighs in at a mere $20.

Korg personal metronome
Another clever design from Korg, a Metronome that fits in your ear! I’m not sure why you would want a metronome clicking away in your ear but hey its only $25 so who cares.

Vox AmPlug
This is actually top of my personal Xmas wish list, its a little more expensive than the previous ideas at around $40 but this thing rocks check out my review if you are unsure.

Pick holder with LED
Ever needed somewhere to put your spare picks? Ever needed a handy keychain torch? Bingo! this is the perfect gift for you then. Only $7 too so it won’t matter if you never use it and with the economy the way it is this might be your only chance this Christmas!

Maintenance kits
Granted this is not as exciting as a Vox AmPlug but everyone needs a maintenance kit and Jim Dunlop have loads to choose from. The Dunlop System 65 Guitar Maintenance Kit is a complete Kit and costs $29.

Guitar Mousepads
You’re using a computer right now so why not get a funky guitar mousepad to show everyone what a complete guitar obsessed person you are! Zazzle.com has plenty to choose from.

Apparel
Well every guitarist wants to show off their fave brand so here are a few links to some of the brands that sell apparel.
ESP Guitars
Fender
Jackson

Fender Playing Cards
This is simply a must have for every guitarist, a double pack of cards with Fender Custom Shop instruments printed on them and they come in an embossed four-color collector’s tin. $22 direct from Fender.com.
