Caparison Angelus22

Caparison Angelus22
Well I never, I knew Caparison made some very cool looking metal guitars like this and this (oh and by the way if you have never heard any of Mattias “IA” Eklundh’s music check out his myspace page, I really don’t know how to describe it. Crazy.) but I had no idea they made an archtop like this!

Pictured left is the Angelus22 Purple Sunburst which has a flame maple arched top body. ”The body is designed to fit its neck joint for 22 frets to get sweet sounds from the neck pickup.”. Also the pickup selectors are interesting, the 3 way selector has a neck pickup, bridge pickup and rotary selector position. When in Rotary position you switch to using the 4 preset rotary knob which has the following configurations:
1. Neck Pickup Split Coil (inside)
2. Bridge Pickup Split Coil (inside)
3. Neck Pickup Split Coil (inside) + Bridge Pickup Split Coil (inside)
4. Neck Pickup Humbucking + Bridge Pickup Humbucking .

I imagine this makes the guitar pretty versatile, but I haven’t actually heard the instrument in action, I’m going to scour YouTube for some demos!

I’ve been itching to try a Caparison for a while now, though I’m thinking that could be an expensive move wink.

The Angelus models look Fantastic.

I love Orbit, it is lovely for a metal band, it is so “brandable”, int may put a strong mark on the image of the band. And also Angelus are beautiful but for an other musical style
