Composite Acoustics
Posted by Jon in • Cool Guitars,

I discovered Composite Acoustics’ website yesterday by chance while I was doing a bit of Stumbling and I have to say I think these instruments look amazing. I’ve never played a carbon fibre guitar, I remember Steinberg were using carbon necks back in the 80’s but these guys are really running with the idea. Entire acoustic guitars that are visually stunning and rugged enough to use for continual gigging. In fact they seem to use that as a selling point.
One of the funniest things is that you can actually have the guitar painted to look like wood, check out the pics at the bottom of this page. Check out the nice little flash app, “Anatomy of a guitar” to see their construction process in detail.
There is also a page with some sound clips from featured artists who use Composite Acoustics’ guitars and I’m assuming that they are using them in the recording but it doesn’t say so can anyone can confirm this? Here is the link and if these are Composite Acoustics, they sounds pretty great to me!
