My 3rd guitar back in '93
Posted by Jon in • Cool Guitars
Oh yeah, I progressed from the pink Westone to an Ibanez RG550DX in Purple Neon. It was a truly awesome shredding guitar and I loved it. The Edge Lo Pro trem enabled me to do all the whammy bar antics I’d been dreaming of listening to ‘Flying in a blue dream” and “Passion & Warfare” and the neck was incredibly comfortable. However the 90’s turned me into a drum & bass loving electronic freak and the purple shred guitar had to go and I replaced it with a Patrick Eggle Berlin Stage which I still own today, pics to come in the new year maybe. By the way, the photo to the left is not a photo of my actual guitar, it was just the best example I could find with Google.
Well that’s me done for this year, thanks to everyone who has visited, commented and supported Guitar Noize in 2007. It’s been a crazy 6 months where I have tried to post every weekday and have had 50,000 unique visitors according to Google Analytics viewing 100,000 pages although my server stats would contest that it is actually 70,000 unique visitors, who knows which is real but either way I’m very happy!
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, I hope you get that Gibson/Fender/Ibanez/Nick Huber/PRS… etc that you have on your xmas wish list!

Merry Christmas Jon.
Wow, that is an amazing RG550, very exclusive, I always see only black, rfr and dy.
I also have a purple RG, but it’s an RG450, cheaper model.
Best Regards and Merry Christmas.
