Peavey Explorer signed by Slash, Joe Walsh up for auction

Signed Peavey Explorer
I received an email from David Fishoff who runs Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp which in theory sounds great, you get to hang out with people like Slash and Steve Vai, jam and learn with them for a week. Its not quite that simple though as the upcoming London Camp costs $12,990 per person! That does include 10+ hours of daily jamming and recording at Abbey Road Studios and playing live at The Cavern in Liverpool but sounds a little pricey to me, especially as the “talent” listed are such people as Kip Winger, Mich Ralphs of Mott The Hoople and Jeffrey Foskett of the Beach Boys & Brian Wilson Band. I would rather spend 10 hours jamming with Guthrie Govan to be honest.

Anyway pricey exclusions aside David Fishoff has decided to auction off some of his memorabilia which includes the signed Peavey Explorer pictured left. The guitar is signed by Slash, Joe Walsh, Roger Daltry, Vince Neil and Jack Bruce among others and will be auctioned by Backstage Auctions between the 12th and 19th October.

...instead of putting my entire collection in a warehouse I have decided to give the fans and collectors the opportunity to pick up a piece of music history. A portion of the auction proceeds will benefit The Teenage Cancer Trust, a non profit organization improving the quality of life and chances of survival for teenagers and young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer, as well as several other charities.

Oh and in case Explorers are not your thing, there are quite a few others up for auction. Check out this page. The guitars seem to be either Peavey or Epiphone. How come signed guitars are always the cheap ones?
