Thats right, yet another YouTube shredder contest I hear you sigh but this competition does have a great prize, an Ibanez ART300 BBC signed by Herman Li of Dragonforce as well as a copy of Chris Feener’s Best Of album. 2nd place runners up also win a copy of Chris’ album plus an Ibanez TS7 Tubescreamer pedal and 3rd place will get an Ibanez LU20 guitar tuner and a copy of Chris’ album. All you have to do is head over to PetrucciFever’s competition video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srKWOD9j6aY download the backing track and then either film yourself soloing over the track or do what I did and record a solo then make a slideshow to make the video less black screeny! Then just upload to YouTube and post it as a response to the contest video. Yeah ok I didn’t manage a single take, I’m only in it for fun anyway I don’t stand much of a chance against the calibre of shredders that have already entered, but don’t let that put you off it is a fun thing to do and you will look back at this recording when the next competition comes around and see how far you have improved.
