In a quite unexpected move Gibson.com have launched a forum solely dedicated to allowing the general public ask Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz questions and receive answers from the head honcho himself. I have to admit when I first read this news I thought it stunk of a PR stunt to try and regain some lost respect and lets not beat around the bush, it is. However what I didn’t expect was the honesty and humility shown in Henry’s responses to some very awkward and tough questions about the company. I personally have never owned a Gibson for one reason or another completely unrelated to any of Henry J’s decisions but I am certainly not a Gibson hater. I was a little taken aback when the company recently announced a Hendrix Tribute however and was very interested to see Henry’s response to this matter and very impressed with the way that he handled the issue, you can read the thread here. For what its worth I don’t take back what I said originally, this was never going to be received well and was pretty unnecessary use of Jimi’s name but if Gibson had actually marketed this product the way Henry explains there would certainly have been less hostility.

If you have ever wanted to ask Henry Juszkiewicz a question I suggest you act sooner rather than later, I can’t imagine he has the time as CEO of the biggest guitar company in the world to keep this up for long!
