The Wombat is an Australian Marsupial, I know that because I live in Sydney, Australia. The name wombat comes from the Eora Aboriginal community who were the original inhabitants of the Sydney area, I know that because I looked it up on Wikipedia! Why am I telling you this? Seemed like a good place to start.

While I was researching the recent posts on Nick Minnion’s eBooks (‘How to Make a Living Teaching Guitar’ and ‘50 Flexible Lesson Plans for Teaching Guitar’) I came across a site called TeachWombat.com and I was drawn in by the Guitar Teachers Toolkit.

TeachWombat.com’s Guitar Teachers Toolkit includes a complete set of printable pdf Guitar Chord handouts: from the basic Major and minor guitar chords that make up the CAGED sysem (used by experienced educators around the world to teach beginners) right through all common types of bar chord and on to the more advanced moveable “jazz” shapes. and Scale Charts: Major Scales, Minor Scales, Minor Pentatonic and Blues Scales with scale formulae and fingerings provided. Clear A4 diagrams that you can compile into teaching files or just print at the touch of a button as you require which will allow you to supply your students with the material that they need in order to to improve.

You can use this material to take the strain out of making money as a guitar or bass teacher . The teachwombat toolkits are an invaluable teaching aid that drastically cuts down preparation time allowing you to get on with the profitable and enjoyable stuff!.

The Teaching Toolkits also contains handouts featuring blank necks, chord grids, tablature and standard notation sheets designed so that you can use them as you go or better still prepare favourite or often used lessons and examles in advance. These will make you look much more professional as well as save you time.

The guitar teaching diary and accounting system is included with both the guitar and bass teaching toolkit. The teacher’s diary and appointment sheets allow you to record details of daily or weekly income and expenditure as you go. Some people may find this useful although I would personally have all of this information stored on a computer and synced with my phone in order to really make sure I never forgot an appointment or payment.

The Guitar Teachers Toolkit is ideal for both new guitar teachers and experienced teachers looking to simplify their lesson management and preparation and is available for download for just $12.
