The Top Guitarists on Twitter Chart

I had this idea after recently developing the Guitar Noize Top 40 Guitar Blogs list, I was inspired by Jason Shadrick’s Twitter Guitar Directory to add to this list and give them sort of ranking. Now I can’t take all the credit for this system I am using an already existing Twitter ranking service called Twitterrank and I retrieve results daily and update the table you see below.

It is no surprise that Twitter fiend John Mayer is in the top spot (at the time of posting) but it was a nice surprise to see that both myself (@guitarnoize) and I Heart Guitar (@iheartguitar) are in the top 10 at the time of writing. Hopefully this chart will be of some use whether you want to find new twitter guitar players to follow or you post guitar tweets yourself.

Are you a guitarist on Twitter and don’t see your name on the list? Leave a comment with your Twitter username and I’ll add you to the list, you might want to check that your score isn’t 0 first over on Twitterrank as this will not display in the list.

UPDATE: It seems there is a lot of movement with this chart from day to day, I think this makes it a bit more interesting personally!
