Who's who in the guitar Blogosphere
Posted by Jon in • Guitar Sites

I thought it was about time I acknowledged some of my fellow Guitar Blogosphere since I spend so much time reading and commenting on their posts! If I miss anyone off the list I apologise in advance these are the ones that came to mind, and as for the image not all of you would fit on there so I just picked a handful. Oh and this list is in a totally random order not order of preference.
First up is GuitarFlame.com, I have a lot in common with Ovidiu who runs this excellent website we are of a similar age, have similar careers and share a similar attitude toward the guitar community and helping each other’s sites grow. Great content and good for some comment debates.
Next up IG Blog who always has something good to say and manages to get his readers chatting in the comments of his posts. Check out his T Shirt too, “I play REAL guitar”.
Fellow Aussie blog GuitarToyBox.com is my favourite guitar blog design, he has a great logo and striking colours which make it stand out from the crowd. Wookie always finds cool things to post about too so make sure you check it out.
Next is one of the longest serving Guitar Blogs that I regularly read, Stratoblogster which I only realised today was not in my Favourite Sites list on Guitar Noize, I promptly rectified that error, sorry about that JP! My favourite feature is the “Strat for friday” series, JP seems to have an endless supply of beauties to post!
Moving on to ‘The Guitar Channel‘ which has also been around a long time, his archives dating back to Oct 2004. Plenty of great news, reviews and YouTube finds.
The winner of scariest guitar blog logo goes to Axe Victim who is not only a guitar blogger but has just released an album called ‘Love Tel Motel’ with his band ‘Magic Ship’ so he always has plenty to talk about.
Next on the list is Guitar MX which always has plenty of great content as well as a whole load of free guitar lessons at the parent site.
Truth In Shredding is the place to go if you want to check out the latest YouTube videos that are worth watching, Laurie seems to scour the internet constantly for all the best videos, interviews and news!
One more for the road, Scottish guitar teacher Mark McGuigan not only runs a great blog but also a fantastic free video lesson series called Master That Riff!
UPDATE : In pre-writing this post to go live while I am in NZ I accidently missed off another guitar blog that I had meant to include! My apologies to Pickstroke, apart from the great name and funny logo (seen above in my mini collage) it is also has a great wealth of guitar related bits and bobs from tabbed exercises to news, reviews and youtube finds.
Okay I think that is enough for now, thank you to all the above and below for all their hard work in keeping the Guitar Blogosphere an interesting place. Here are few more quick links you might want to check out too:
