California Auctioneers are auctioning a collection of vintage and signed guitars on Sunday October 11th in California but you are also able to bid over the phone or online. Up for grabs are some guitars signed by bands such as a Vintage Orlando Archtop signed by Led Zeppelin expected to fetch around $15,000 and this Eric Clapton signed Strat which could fetch up to $4000.
But if vintage guitars are more your thing then you might be interested in this original 1973 Fender Telecaster Custom or if you have a little more cash to spare (like 10k more) this 1965 Telecaster. But if you are a really serious collector then you will be interested in the guitar pictured above left, an original 1958 Les Paul Standard with original tune-o matic bridge, and dual PAF humbuckers, Solid sapelli display case (Personally hand selected wood from African congo) and autographed Les Paul pickguard. The estimated price range is $50,000 – 100,000 I would say that it would be more likely the latter if today’s vintage prices are anything to go by.
