Greg Howe just hosted a live Q&A on Twitter which was a great chance for fans to ask questions they have always wanted know from the guitar virtuoso. Very cool idea and the kind of thing that makes Twitter so incredible.

Q: When’s your next album coming out?
@samuelfrenz – Hopefully towards the end of this year… It might be a vocal album

Q; im a big fan from colombia, do you plan to come here at any time???
@pakikehurtado – I would love to… nothing currently on the agenda, but I’m hoping that changes

Q: being such an advanced guitarist, much like Satriani and Vai, did u used to practise for like 6+ hours when you were a teen?
@nathanguitar – yes, constantly

Q: I just completed my first jazz project as a hired-gun. Do you do any session work? What skills do you find useful?
@mattshelvock – Yes I do some session work but not like a ton… versatility is the key with session work, and knowing how to get tones

Q: is the the Awesome Orange Laguna your signature guitar?
@craigsimpson2 – It’s not really a signature model yet but it’s definitely the bases of what will eventually be one… we’re still honing in

Q: When will you be gigging in PA again?
@scotterickson – I’ll be playing in Philly with Eddie Jobson, Simon Phillips, Marco Minneman and others in August

Q: is there any chance that you could do a masterclass at ICMP (Guitar Institute) in London next time ure in the UK?
@nathanguitar – I would love to

Q: When are you planning to tour the US with your own band??
@fingerprinz – That will likely happen next year

Q: what inspires you to create new music?
@RacerX197666 – Good question.. I seek inspiration anywhere and everwhere.. movies, music, traveling, general life events.. you name it

Q: trying to learn your music. Any advice on how u learnt the fusion stuff u play? It is hard…
@AidanLegend – I can sympathize.. I have a tough time learning stuff from my older albums.. but for me, listening is my best schooling

Q: Any nyc gigs in the future? ever?
@bdonnelly – When I do my official U.S. tour we will certainly play in NYC
@bdonnelly – Man… It’s weird that you ask because if it weren’t for the previously booked Berklee clinic, I would have been there in Aug :(

Q: You seem to have stayed very fit throughout your career: any tips for being healthy on the road??
@mattshelvock – I’m not sure… I don’t really work out or anything… I’m guessing it has something to do with a healthy dose of red wine

Q: hey greg, what gear do you use in terms of amps and cab?
@matthewablair – These days I’ve been using the Cornford MK-50 a lot.. it’s incredible (no pedals) and the orange laguna

Q: the intro from jump start is hybrid picking
@FUUNKY – It is today, but it wasn’t when I recorded it… hybrid picking just sort of sneaked it’s way into my playing somehow

Sorry.. I should have mentioned Port City Cabinets… I honestly can’t say enough about those things, They are like sheer warmth in a box

Q: How do you mentally prepare when your about to go on stage? Do you get stage fright?
@joeparkerstrat – I often get jittery or anxious, but not frightened. The weird thing is that the smaller the venue the more my nerves kick in

Q: Greg, have you any infos about the singer or the band for this next album ?
@AntHoweTzen – Yes, but for the sake of avoiding rumors, and because nothing’s set in stone, I’d rather not say anything quite yet

Q: do you have any plans to play any UK gigs?
@neil_lambert – I practically positive that I’ll be gigging over there next year… I definitely would love to

Q: A lot of guitarists try to play jumstart. What was the best rendition you saw?
@Seandeux – I’ve seen many that are really great.. I don’t have any links off hand but there have been 2 or 3 that were dead on… kinda scary

Q: I loved the video of you and Paul Gilbert jamming, do you guys plan on doing anything together in the future?
@strato_caster_ – No plans, but it certainly sounds like fun… Paul’s a super cool guy

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years from now? What will you be doing?
@strato_caster_ – Hopefully still making music and reaching as many people a possible

Q: How much transcribing do you/have you done in the past. Was trying to nail that solo/lick a big part of your practice?
@RoshRoslin – That’s basically what my practice consisted of in the begining, it’s how I learned… just copying solos of my favorite players

Q: Who did the mod on your dsl 100?
@morbar – It’s only slightly modded, by a friend of mine “Mike Fortin” who now owns Fortin Amps..

Hey everybody.. this was really fun… sorry I wasn’t able to answer everything but Thanks a million for hangin’ out with me… Ya’ll Rock!!
