Well we won’t know for sure for another 10 days or so when Ibanez and Joe Satriani will announce the guitar at Winter NAMM but Voo-du seems to have some insider Ibanez knowledge regarding other models so this it is entirely possible that this photo is real. It wouldn’t be too hard to knock up a photo like this in Photoshop mind you, if it is true that the Dimarzio Pro Track is going to sit in the neck position. The Pro Track certainly alters the look of the Joe Satriani signature series, much more than the 24 fret fingerboard does, since the JS Series launched the guitar has had dual humbuckers so having a single coil sized pickup regardless of whether is is a single coil sized humbucker certainly alters the entire look, and I actually like it, I’ve always been a fan of Greg Howe’s blue ESP guitar with the single in the neck and humbucker in the bridge.

Here are the specs according to Voo-du, again take with a pinch of salt until we get confirmation from NAMM:

Colour – White
Body – Basswood
Neck – JS Prestige, 1-pc Maple w/ rosewood fingerboard. 24 frets (W6105)
Trem – Edge (chrome)
Pickups – Dimarzio Pro Track, Dimarzio Mo Joe

UPDATE
Well the cat is well and truly out of the bag now that GuitarGuitar.co.uk have this guitar available for pre-order and a few people have left comments saying they have not only seen but also played this guitar. I’m surprised if these guitars are in the shops already and won’t believe it until I see photo evidence because I’m a skeptical bugger!
