Things are not looking to good for Peavey, for a long time now they have enjoyed a successful relationship with Joe Satriani the JSX Series being the highest profile and only signature line amp in their product range since Eddie Van Halen’s departure.
Well news has just broken that Joe Satriani is returning to Marshall amps for the European Chickenfoot tour, this is the news from the Marshall amps website:
Joe contacted Marshall Amplification prior to the first show at the Nova Rock Festival in Austria in order to check out some new Marshall gear. Marshall took some amps to the rehearsals, and Joe loved the tone of the JVM410H.
Joe used the JVM410H for the show at the Nova Rock Festival and will be visiting the Marshall factory this week to have a look around and try out different speaker cabinets.
Since this news was published MusicRadar managed to snatch a few words with the man himself and he said “What can I say? I guess I’m crazy… But, I’m just looking to achieve the best guitar sound every moment I’m plugged in, and that brought me back to Marshall Amps.”
Joe Satriani is no stranger to Marshall as this was his amp of choice before designing the JSX but it still comes as a surprise considering Peavey.com have a large Chickenfoot ad as their homepage.
