You might not have heard of Magneto Guitars but they are a small boutique company that until now created Tele and Strat type guitars. The announcement of the newest addition to the range, the ‘Velvet’, is a nod to the Les Paul but with a more squared off design that makes it look like a combination of a Les Paul and Telecaster.
“Magneto worked a lot on the weight and mass of the body in order to emphasize the midrange frequency spectrum. The Velvet produces a tight, midrange focused tone. Magneto would describe it as being more hollow and SG inspired when compared to a LP as an example.”
The Body of the Velvet is made of 1 piece Mahogany with a 10mm 2-piece carved maple top, neck is mahogany with Indian rosewood fingerboard, the headstock has a 17° angle. Both body and neck have binding. Pearloid fingerboard and headstock inlays.
All hardware and tuners are made for Magneto Guitars by Gotoh, the pickups are Lollar Imperial Humbuckers. It has Jumbo frets, CTS pots, CRL switch, Switchraft Output Jack.
Hand rubbed oil-wax finish. Colors available are: Black Oil (as Picture), Brown oil, Dark Red Oil
