Michael Lee Firkins was one of my favourite 80′s shredders who although signed to Shrapnel records at the time his self-title released was so different to what everyone else was doing that I can’t understand how he seemed to avoid instant legendary status. Well Michael has switched the old Yamaha Pacifica for a Fender Strat but his style is still instantly recognisable. His whammy bar control is so amazing it actually sounds like slide guitar.
