Fender® announced new additions to the Fender Pro Tube series of Super-Sonic guitar amplifiers at Summer NAMM 2010 including the Super-Sonic 60 1×12″ Combo.
The VINTAGE channel of the Super-Sonic 60 Combo is based on two legendary Fender favorites (the Vibrolux® and the Bassman®), and the awesome BURN channel ignites musical inspiration with overdrive flavors ranging from bluesy to flamethrower. The Super-Sonic 60 has been tweaked for increased bass response and fatter tone, and its heavily saturated tube overdrive and sustain can be fine-tuned without masking the tonal character of your guitar. And by popular demand, the new Super-Sonic 60 model is available in two classic cosmetic treatments: Black/Silver and the iconic 1961 Blonde/Oxblood look, with glorious ivory knobs and flowing Fender logo on each front panel.
The amp is also available in a 22 Watt version and a separate 60 Watt head and Super-Sonic 212 Enclosure.
Here are a few examples from Fender® of the Fender® Super-Sonic™ 22 in action in various situations:
