I recently posted a very cool series of videos from Australian Acoustic Guitar Master, Tommy Emmanuel, which were tunes suggested by readers of Reddit that Tommy then arranged in his inimitable style, recorded on video and uploaded to YouTube. You can see the videos of these brilliant arrangements here – http://www.guitarnoize.com/tommy-emmanuel-reddit-requests/. After posting this news I was approached to ask Tommy a few questions regarding the recordings and naturally I was more than happy to oblige, after all Tommy is one of the main reasons that GuitarNoize.com exists. I had quit playing guitar after my Music degree for 7 years when one day I heard Tommy’s ‘Train To Dusseldorf’ and that was it, I was hooked back onto the guitar again!
Tommy answered a series of questions that I sent over to him along with some Reddit readers questions with some great advice for all guitarists, most importantly, develop your ear to learn music rather than rely on tabs or sheet music.
Thank you to Tommy Emmanuel for taking the time to answer my questions, I have to say I never thought I would watch one of my guitar heroes say my name and thank you for being such a huge inspiration to guitar players all over the world.

Thanks for the wonderful video from Tommy ! I had the honor of seeing Tommy's first ever show in TN (maybe the first USA show), back in 2000 in Knoxville at an old schoolhouse. Seen him at least 30 times at concerts, festivals, and music conventions around the US. Really an amazement to watch and listen to him share his talent. Truly an inspiration !
